Vandercook bundle, part 1

I'm working on a print for the Vandercook Centenary Bundle. It's overly-ambitious to be sure, and after a first good run, the second one isn't shaping up to be as precise as I'd hoped, so there may be some adjustments to the design (a ten-color edition of 125) to simplify it and keep it looking good.

Fingers crossed - and stay tuned over the next two weeks to see the emerging results.

As an addendum to the last post, the couple sent out an invitation to the President. Evidently, it's a well-known secret that invitations to the President are responded to with a note of congratulations from the President.

Or at least a busy intern in the office...

Brooklyn Bride

We just finished up some lovely Brooklyn-themed invitations for a couple getting married at Bubby's Pie Company, in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The couple came up with the fabulous idea of using a mad-lib of sorts for the reply card. It should garner some fun results!

For the final touch, I sourced some vintage Brooklyn Bridge stamps for the envelopes.

We'll actually be attending this wedding and can't wait!

Beach Day

Last week we had our first annual Albertine Press beach day. It was fun to do some grilling and chilling outside of the studio, and although the weather wasn't as nice as it should have been (it rained nearly all day) we managed to sneak in a gray walk along the beach and the rocks.

In addition to eating my grilling (my first ever haddock and it was scrumpdiddlyicious if I do say so myself) there was a rowdy game of Pictionary where we learned that good artists do not necessarily make for good quick sketchers.

Thanks guys, for a great day - I couldn't do this without you!

Go Alber-team!

Join the Union!

We'll be in Union Square this Saturday for the Boston Handmade Marketplace. Stop by earlier in the day for the farmer's market (including our neighbors Taza Chocolate and Fiore di Nonna) and come back for a great bunch of handmade artisans.

Happy Independence Day!

And in celebration of the beginning of summer (ha!) here's a shot of some of our latest fun products - holiday hang tags.

It may seem a little early to be cranking up the press for winter goodies, but the blue was on the press and we just couldn't resist trying a few out.

Don't worry, we'll have some everyday giving tags, too! Coming soon to a craft fair near you.

We're off to Maine for an extended holiday weekend - the first days off since the baby was born. More photos of our latest works and other news when we return.
